1 Shorts
A cotton market term for those who are short in cotton to cover contracts, that is they have sold more than they have bought and have a liability unprovided for. The idea is to wait for a fall in prices. The opposite to Longs. Short trousers for sports wear. Made from khaki or grey flannel, linen, etc. -
